We have found a new Bacillus cereus species which can degrade long chain alkane including hexadecane. but genome of this strain is not yet sequenced. we want to isolate gene that involves in LC-alkane degrading. We also found that there is a NCBI record of Alk-B( Alkane Monooxygenase) in an another Bacillus cereus strain. But the problem is that it is a partial coding sequence. How can we design the PCR primers for that partial coding sequence.
