By the terms of Alfred Nobel’s will the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded by the Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet since 1901.
The Nobel Assembly has 50 voting members and is composed of professors in medical subjects at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. Its working body is the Nobel Committee, elected from among its members for a three-year term.

it was obvious to ask a question: “Who controls Nobel Assembly?”
In any scientific hypothesis on signal transduction when data suggests differentiation from what is expected to be “normal” in a Signal Control, it becomes intriguing to analyze the reason of the “different phenotype” so to explain the functionality of the establishment.
I found an excellent review by two excellent scientists Thomas Perlmann who is now secretary of Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine 2016 and the Pr. Ronald M. Evans at Salk. It happened that I and Thomas have worked with Ron at the Salk Institute for an overlapped period of time. Dear Ljubomir, Thanks for your update on Nobel Laureates. Do great minds think alike? The THE/Lindau Nobel Laureates Survey article is in fact of interest as it reflects the opinions of leaders in Science. I would rather agree with one opinion said in this article “Science is a bit like the movie business,” ..;. “It is often only the blockbuster release that truly moves the status of the industry forward.”
The question remains which is the leader industry.. Apparently, “Hollywood” moves the market and the scientific progress forward…. This is not always true. There are great films with no money and out of Hollywood family…
I do not agree that great minds think alike. Every mind is different, each way is necessary to keep on progress in Science. I will keep the quote of a Nobel Laureate in physiology Albert Szent-Györgyi “Discovery consists of looking at the same thing as everyone else and thinking something different.”
