How to define physiological joint rotations in abaqus cae boundary conditions?

I am confused as to correlating physiological rotations with abaqus coordinate systems in the boundary conditions module. Are rotations defined as being along an axis or about an axis in abaqus? For example is abduction along z or is it about x axis (into the plane of the screen)?

Rotation are defined around an axis.

I you set 0,0,0 1,0,0, the rotation will be around the x axis so the y and z axis will move.
