I'm trying to get a 3d silicone structure with 3d print mold with DLP. For 3d printing mold resin, I just used TPO-L as the photoinitiator, the monomer and release are CTFA and NMP. However, the silicone(Dragon skin 20) didn't curable when I put the silicone into the 3d print mold.I How can I do? Thanks!
Dear Liu Peng thank you for your interesting technical question. Although I am an inorganic chemist I'm far from being an expert in this field (although we did a lot of work with silsesuioxanes). This is a problem I got using classical PDMS (Sylgard 184) and commercial resins for stereolithography 3D printing. What I would advice is to combine a UV post-curing of your mold (405nm) and a thermal annealing (60 or 120°C), to eliminate the TPO-L, which inhibits PDMS curing, from your molds. The duration of the steps depends on the resin, the UV dose, the temperature of the annealing and your design, but I succeeded to find working recipes for almost all resins I tested.
