I am working on Discrete Phase Modeling (DPM) on ANSYS and I am encountering one problem. It would be appreciated if you could help.
I am using surface type injection from the inlet, however, the number of particles is restricted by the number of meshed cells at the inlet (no specified number of streams like point or group injection types). Can I decrease or increase the number of particles without changing mesh density? If Yes, how to do this?
Deepa Gupta Ji, I think, Yes you can do it. Discrete Phase is a phase that you are adding with another phase so that means it depends on Total flow rate i,e kg/s from injection properties.
Abdul Gaphur But in my case, the Total mass flow rate is constant as one of the applied BC's.
Deepa Gupta , in that case can you tell me what number u have maintained at place of particle update (DPM iteration interval)?? Generally by default that is 10 so if you reduced by 10 then the particles flow becomes increase 😊.
