I am trying to run my cyanobacteria extracts in GCMS, but, the GCMS lab-solutions software is indicating that the MS communication hardware is not connected also showing code 0D80. What could be the problem and how can I overcome it?
I would recommend contacting your certified field service engineer or technical support line to have them assist you. Depending on the manufacturer, the way the MS communicates to the PC is different from one manufacturer to the others.
My experience with Waters instruments showed me that the communications problem can be fixed by restarting the PC and the MS to make them reload the communication drivers.
However, with Thermo Scientific instruments, PC restart is not important, the communication problem was with the network switch.
So, contact the technical support to have your problem fixed.
