Hi,
In CLP (cecal ligation and puncture) mice the peritoneal cavity has cecum punctured (the reservoir of microbes), so washing the cavity might lead to leaching of bacteria from cecum, then wont it affect CFU determination of peritoneal lavage? so how is the lavage collected, in one article the authors had mentioned that lavage was collected by flushing the cavity while avoiding the abscess, how is that achieved.
