Hello Everyone,
I have a non-uniform fluid region and fluid is air. Normally, in uniform regions, we use Reynolds Number to check whether the flow is Laminar or Turbulent. But with the region whose shape is changing continuously, how can we find the type of flow in this case?
Images of the fluid region is attached below. the purple face is the air inlet and the pink face is the air outlet.
I shall be very thankful if someone can help me out.

To find Reynold number, Which area should I use? The cross-section area of inlet(purple face)?
You should use the corresponding hydraulic diameter of the most narrowest cross-section, where the flow is accelerated the most. Of course it is a good idea to double-check for the inlet cross section as well. But at the inlet you are not predicting turbulence, you have to provide the turbulence characteristics of the flow at the inlet. Since usually not so much is known about the state of the fluid at an inlet, bluntly a turbulence intensity of approx. 5-10% is assumed.
