I have a doubt about frequency control word of NCO. As in:
what type of data it is? Is it binary or some integer value?
because this value is coming out of DLL loop filter and it should be integer type, but in books it says that frequency control word has N-bits.
How does this value coming from DLL loop filter is interpreted as N-bit frequency control word?
"binary" and "integer" are often understood as synonyms (as opposed to 'float") - although this is not correct (binary applies to anything "digital").
What you seem not to get: "integer" in the wider sense describes some non-fractional "number" consisting of an arbitrary number of bits.
In this sense, "integer" and "N bits control word" is basically the same, "N bits" specifying more precisely how many bits will have an effect on your NCO.
