Hello
I want to analyse a deformable cubical specimen by pressing in three orthogonal directions. I can successfully compress it in one direction (say x-direction) in one step. Now, further I want to compress the already compressed material in other perpendicular direction (say y-direction) and then along z-direction.
Is there any provision in Abaqus to carry out this simulation?

You can do multi-step analysis in Abaqus. This should help you formulate your problem. Kindly check the link below for your reference:

You can enter the *Step successively as much as you want. In your particular case, After you enter your first *Step where you applied the load in the x-direction you may enter again *step for the y-load and further another *Step for the z-load.

Yes Abaqus does support multi-step analysis, by your explanation you need three (3) steps for compression in the 3 directions (x, y, z). So go to step manager and create three steps. Then apply the load in the other 2 steps as you did in the first step. Make sure that when adding the steps that each steps is added after its predecessor like (Initial-Step1-Step2-Step3).
