Dear Colleagues
I am doing Explicit Dynamic Analysis using ABAQUS. The sample is rectangular shaped deformable billet which is to be pressed in a certain direction to a certain strain level using a rigid plunger. When I define every thing and run the job, I receive the following error message
"The ratio of deformation speed to wave speed exceeds 1.0000 in at least one element. This usually indicates an error with the model definition"
I will be thankful if anyone could help me to resolve the issue.

You should try using Enhanced hourglass control + Distortion control Yes (don't change Length ratio) in Mesh module (Element type) that is more efficient than ALE. If possible use nlgeom=OFF (use linear Cauchy relations instead of nonlinear, that increases stiffness) and use larger element size.

Please check the material and load units. In a first glance, it seems to the problem.
