Hi,

I simulated a steel beam in Abaqus with pin-ended support and applied two concentrated "P" loads perpendicular to the beam, "50 mm" distance away from the support. The model was based on an experimental setup that measured curvature in the middle of the beam. To validate the experiment, I need to calculate the curvature. However, the loads caused the beam to exceed the yield point, and I am unsure of how to calculate the curvature in this situation?
