I´m performing a meta-analysis and some studies report continuous data as percentage of change (pre vs. post) but does not report standard deviation from this percentage of change.

I´ve been using the cochrane formula for these cases: square root of (preSD^2+postSD^2-(2*0.8*preSD*postSD))

For some reason the values that I obtain are above 100 (132 for example) and I believe I must be doing something wrong but revising the formula it seems as the procedure is correctly applied.

Any idea on how to calculate this confidently?

Thanks in advance!
