m( total mass of cell )= 1.2 * 4 × 10^-9 =4.8*10^-9 g
Concentration of protein (20%) =( 4.8*10^-9*20)/100=960*10^-12 g *1000=960*10^-6 mg , in 4*10^-9 ml
in 1 ml = 240 mg/ml
The weight of one cell is 1.2 g/mL x 4 × 10-9 mL = 4.6 x 10-9 g,
and 20% of this is protein = 0.96 x 10-9 g,
and 0.96 x 10-9 g is in 4 x 10-9 mL (the cell volume) = 0.24 g/mL = 240 mg/mL
--> answer is D
