How can I calculate the mol.wt of pNIPAM surrounding gold nanoparticle? Gel permeation chromatography is one method, but I am looking for something simpler than GPC. Can it be done with a Nanosizer?
It is complicated with nanosizer. You should know the gold particle volume and calculate the volume of the polymer surrounded by the gold using density, calculate the weight of the polymer presented in the gold surface based on theoretical values the chain.
