How to calculate effective plastic failure displacement of ductile damage model used in Abaqus CAE?

I am working with a complex geometry with CPE4R elements with element deletion in ductile damage model in Abaqus. The element is variable with sizes ranging from 31*71 units to 700*740 units. What would be the characteristic length in this case as the element size is varying constantly because of the use of single bias edge seeding in the part.

If you could help me in this case, I would be grateful.
