My current culture condition is in DMEM 10% FBS, with penicillin and streptomycin, supplemented with L-Glutamin as usual. incubator CO2 is 7.5%. after passage, they take as long as 2days to attach, while not all cells attache; and doubling time is quite long. is this normal? some tips please!
Denis Komarov yes, we newly purchased it from ECACC. do you culture these cells?
Xiao Zhang hi, I do not. On the culture collection site they ECACC claim that these cells "grow as small dense islands and will not form a monolayer. Recommended that the cell line should be subcultured approximately every 8-11 days" so if you absolutely sure that they are not infected with mycoplasma that's the way they behave.
