How to avoid cell detachment due to TPA treatment?

When I'm studying HIV latency using J-lat cell lines, I need to treat the cells with TPA for 17 hours and a lot of the cells attached to the polylysine-treated 8-well plates would get detached. Is there any way we can minimize cell detachment because of TPA treatment?
