The research question related to your data, may be its tractability on certain models/algorithms/methods. If you are interested to test your data on certain, you certainly need some tractable models for your data. To do so, you may need some literature review, e.g., to understand the importance of your data, and its potential applicability for the future problems from engineering etc.
