I have difficulties on applying cyclic loading to the small hole of the specimen (Steel E335) in order to simulate fatigue crack propagation. I'm doing crack propagation analysis using ABAQUS XFEM and the information i have is only the Young Modulus ,Poisson ratio,fracture toughness and the load apllied in the small hole which i think inadequate of information is there. The problem is now how can I get the extra information to simulate the crack propagation and how can I apply cyclic loading in that small hole?Thank you in advance.

Tthe cyclic loading is applied along the direction which is perpendicular to the crack plane.
In order to have a periodic/cyclic load, you need to assign an amplitude to the load, either a tabular or sinusoidal amplitude will provide a proper load variation for the fatigue analysis.
