We need to identify a mixture of chitooligosaccharides (COS). Our previous TLC analysis showed our COS mixture consists of N-acetyl D-glucosamine (GlcNAc), Diacetyl chitobiose (GlcNAc)2, glucosamine (GlcN). We need to quantify those in our COS mixture through HPLC by comparing them with standards. Various research articles reported the use of amino column/ sugar D column. But we could not find any of those HPLC columns for the analysis of COS. We only have a C-18 column with a UV detector. Is there any procedure to analyze the COS by using the RP-C18 column with a UV detector? If anyone has the procedure, please help. Thank you in advance.
