Hi,everyone,as we know, antibodies like anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 are commonly used to activate human T cells in vitro. I’m wondering, can these same antibodies also activate Jurkat cells? Basically, I want to know if these antibodies work the same on Jurkat cells as they do on real human T cells, and if not, what the differences might be. Specifically:

  • When we treat Jurkat cells with anti-CD3 or anti-CD28 antibodies, do they trigger the same signaling pathways as in regular human T cells, like IL-2 production?
  • Do Jurkat cells respond to these antibodies in the same way as primary T cells, or are there differences in how the signals get transmitted or how the cells behave?
  • Except for using antibodies, are there any special conditions or other tweaks needed to get Jurkat cells activated?

If you have any protocol for activation of Jurkat cells, that would be very helpful!
