I unfortunately forgotten cDNA on the PCR device for 4 days! The temperature at some of the days in the room reached 45 degrees Celsius (there were hot days)
Theoretically people tell cDNA is broken down at high temperature, therefore recommended to store at -20 degree C. However, I have not found any differences in results by keeping the room temperature and the cDNA kept -20 degree C. So don't think about your result too.
It is recommended to store cDNA at -20 degree celcius for short-term storage. However, If you want to keep it for long-term periods, it would be better if you store it at -80 degree celcius. In case you store in at room temperature or at dry state, cDNA can become degraded more repidly than other temperatures.
