Smoking link as a risk factor for many cancers including breast, some researchers founded that there is a strong relationship between smoking habit and breast cancer. The risk increases with the increses number of Cigarettes smoked per day and the duration of smoking up to 10 years. It is also associated with age of starting smoking, the earlier the age the more risk to getting cancer especially if it is started befor menarche

The exact relationship between smoking and cancer remains. This may be a higher fair in women who start before their first full campaign, with exemption from responsibility in 2011 in the Archives of Internal Medicine. This may be due to breast development during the third trimester of pregnancy. At this point, breast cells in women may be less susceptible to carcinogens than tobacco smoke. More than that, it may be more. This means that having a gene or group genes may put women at risk of infection.
Chemicals present in cigarette smoke enter our blood stream and can affect the entire body, this is why smoking causes many different types of cancer. There are many harmful constituent present in cigarettes that are carcinogenic.

It damages the DNA and also increases tumor formation. Moreover, DNA repair activity (genes) gets reduced. There are competing detoxification pathways, and the balance between metabolic activation and detoxification differs among individuals and will affect cancer risk. Cells with damaged DNA might be removed by apoptosis, or programmed cell death. If a permanent mutation occurs in a critical region of an oncogene or tumor suppressor gene, it can lead to activation of the oncogene or deactivation of the tumor suppressor gene. Multiple events of this type lead to abnormal cells with loss of normal growth control which ultimately leads to cancer.

Smoke has multiple carcinogenic agents , not just nicotine. These agents slowly change the cell types to more aggressive & more mobile cells in much more quantity. I'm medical language we call it metaplasia & dysplasia which make can lead to cancer. Regards
