In our lab we have extensive experience in freezing PBMCs, and we always cryopreserve them in FBS as this is how we obtain the highest viability. However, we are about to start working with Jurkat E6.1 cells, which are tumour T lymphocytes. The commercial establishment recommends freezing them in culture medium supplemented (with 10% FBS), and 10% DMSO. So, which are the best conditions to cryopreserve our cells in the best possible conditions?
