In Imidazole NMR, residual solvent peaks of alcohol is seen. I want to remove residual solvent from imidazole (solid, powder form), as per lterature suugest Vacuum Dry, vacuum oven, rotary evaporation. I tried rotary evaporation for ethanol 175mm Hg to 250mm Hg vacuum, solvent evaporated in 2-3Hrs. But for dryness it takes time. So How much vacuum and time will I set for dryness? Or any easy alternative method to remove solvent from imidazole?

I tried sun light, dark condintion drying but after 1-2 days comound decoposes, its boiling point decreases.
