Greetings Muhammad Awais Tazheer . As Marie Mortreux said, it dependes on the dose and route. But some details can improve the process. For example, the STZ solution must be freshly prepared before injection. 12h fasting (at least), increase the chances of success. I have successfully achieved hyperglycemia (> 250mg/dL) within two days using 60mg STZ / kg intraperitoneally in young Wistar rats. Check the usual dosage to induce diabetes in mice, it can be a little higher.
