I am doing a histomorphological analysis of broiler chickens at 21 and 42 days of age. I want to take images using an OLYMPUS microscope (BX43) to observe the slices and take photos. In the literature, I found different values. I need to share some experiences. Thank you.
The most important thing in histology is clarity of image and the most importantly that the image should be backing the results of your hypothesis
So i suggest don't think much about resolution
but focus on clear image
if you get the same at maximum resolution than its cherry on the cake

The resolution of the captured image is not a concern as long as you have a relatively new camera equipped on the microscope and you have zoomed in enough on your sample to produce a clear, decent picture. Usually a zoom of 20x to 30x will do the trick.
However, it is important to note that most journals require a minimum DPI of 300 to 600 for each picture when submitting your paper. So, if you are planning to publish your work, make sure to keep this requirement in mind.
I have also attached the pictures I captured for my own thesis to give you an idea. These pictures were not used in my published paper, but only for my thesis.
