How many sign languages are there in the world? Considering national and indigenous sign languages, how many sign languages are there in the world? Are they part of the same language family? Are there subfamilies? Has any researcher studied this?
Sign language is just a natural language as all other oral language we use. Sign languages have branches based on linguistic diversity.

According to the World Federation of the Deaf, there are more than 70 million deaf people worldwide. More than 80% of them live in developing countries. Collectively, they use more than 300 different sign languages. Sign languages are fully fledged natural languages, structurally distinct from the spoken languages.
