Liver transplant surgery takes about 5-6 hours on average (4-8 hours range). The induction of anaesthesia itself can take upto 2 hours.
Since living donor transplant surgeries are planned in advance, usually not many would be scheduled for the same day, allowing a buffer period in case there are any intra-operative complications. And as mentioned in the previous answer, other factors such as number of available surgeons, ICU bed availability, the operation theatre availability time (for example most centres would conduct elective surgeries between 6am and 6pm, and post that there wont be any scheduled surgeries and only emergency cases would be taken up), the type of procedure being undertaken, if domino auxiliary transplant is being done, whether its a paediatric or adult patient, and whether there are any tandem procedures being performed.
According to a study by Neuberger J, timing of the surgery is also factor - when operating outside regular working hours - with surgeries being performed during the day taking less time than those performed at night, and the longest liver transplant surgeries were those that were started between midnight and 3 am (https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/733794).
Most transplant centres would not have more than 2-3 transplant surgeons, and they would have other organ transplants to perform as well.
A google search revealed that the United States performs the most liver transplants of any country, with about 7000-8000 being performed each year. This is approximately 20 transplants each day, including both Living and deceased donor transplants.
There are about 145 centres equipped to perform the surgery (https://www.srtr.org/transplant-centers/?organ=liver).
That approximates to about 0.13 liver transplants per centre per day, including living and deceased.
This should provide a fair base for extrapolative thinking..
Actually we (Inonu University, Liver Transplantation Institute) performed 5 living donor liver transplantation a day on 12th June 2019 in Malatya, Turkey.
5 living donor hepatectomy and 5 recipient operations were finished within 13 hours.
This is world record, I think.
All of the patients and donor's health condition are well.
