I have a tube of permeabilisation buffer (used for immunostaining) and Glycine 20mM solution. How long do you think I can store these at room temperature (basically keep these on my bench)?

Yes you can store it on room temperature , for two-three weeks we used to store the solution as such.

Storing of buffers depends on what type of buffer you are talking about. Non-proteinaceous buffers can be stored up to 2 years or as long as the room is properly disinfected and the users of the buffer only take aliquots rather inserting the pipets. However, proteinaceous buffers (eg. TBSA or PBS-BSA) have a shorter shelf-life as there is more chances of their contamination from microbes. Proper refrigeration is necessary at all the times.
It depend on type of Buffer, pH, temperature and if it is prepared by you or by a special company., furthermore, if it is re use it or not.
