I want to know how Max may be regulated at the transcriptional level (by transcription factors). What are factors that inhibit or promote Max expression on the trascriptional level?

Miao et al. found that Max expression is epigenetically regulated. Hypermethylation of cis-regulatory sites in the MAX promoter region result in  the down-regulation of MAX mRNA ("Analysis of the transcriptional regulation of cancer-related genes by aberrant DNA methylation of the cis-regulation sites in the promoter region during hepatocyte carcinogenesis caused by arsenic")

However,  Bernhard Lüscher and Jörg Vervoorts mention in their review "Regulation of gene transcription by the oncoprotein MYC" that "The expression of MAX is somewhat uninspiring in the sense that this protein is ubiquitously expressed at rather high levels (. Nevertheless there have been a few reports that suggest regulation of MAX at the posttranslational level."

Are there known transcription factors regulating the expression of MAX at the transcriptional level?
