according to the methodology below, i mixed chitosan solution with CaCl2 and NaHPO4 solution. How can I know that the calcium and phosphate ions are attached to chitosan chemically or physically? this solution was used in enamel remineralization and was prepared as follow:

Chitosan powder (0·25 g) was dissolved in acetic acid solution (1%,

25 ml), then stirred at 80°C for 2 h and finally left to cool to room

temperature. Following this, the solution was loaded with inorganic

ions by mixing chitosan solution (960 ml), sodium hydrogen

phosphate solution (15 ml, 0·1M) and calcium chloride solution

(25 ml, 0·1M).24 The pH of the mixed chitosan solution was adjusted

by adding sodium hydroxide solution (1 M) drop by drop until pH

6·5 was reached, at which point the chitosan hydrogel was formed.
