The flexible work schedule is found to have a positive impact on the performance of employees as employees feel and agree that it makes them more responsible as they are able to manage time at work and personal commitments.
Work from home (WFH) becomes new normal during this pandemic and this trend will continue in post covid 19. Working from home with flexible work hours has provoked a thought, do i really need to go to "Office" burning fuel, paying rent and sweating in traffic?
So jobs with technical feature and jobs that is individual oriented are easy compare with the job which are physical and which requires a process. Production of goods and services will never be WFH. Managerial, educational and consulting jobs can be easily maneuvered from home.
WFH also has some gender perspective. Women may have more challenges specially in the society like ours as they have to manage home, children, and family while they need to deliver professional outcome. Besides, the work culture where time is not given due importance, remote working is a challenge as it's hard to monitor the work progress.
However, the WFH will definitely be a regular working modality in days ahead.
It is absolutely necessary that all operators put themselves into it to produce innovative concepts of suitable work not only for this pandemic but also for future events such as climate change, and other natural phenomena ... The application of such concepts can be facilitated by new technologies (5G, AI, Robotics, 4D ...)
