Teaching has become necessary to each and every student to make him give knowledge, to think and to understand concepts. How this teaching methodology effects the performance of a student?
The methodology track by question and answers after that the teacher thinks about the level and the point of weak for each student. So; for this this cas the teacher can help them or re-format the lecture easier

The effectiveness of teaching method is a function of how student will think outside the box. It also determines how the student will relate theories and concepts to address real life situation. Most developing countries that have issues with producing unemployed graduates have failed in the effectives of teaching method.
Discovery of new ideas and concepts of teaching in accordance to the methods and techniques of the changing world rather than just relying on only one source of information(e.g. Textbooks only); and to improve the learning of the students by creating interest in the subject and the curiosity to learn; and developing the creativity in the students within themselves. And most importantly to make the student understand that how the knowledge being taught in the class stand up in the real world.
Student motivation is quite important to student learning and satisfaction. This motivation can be intrinsic (from within) or extrinsic.
Its effect to large extend. Because the best teaching methodology really make the students to understand well so this will definitely improve the academic performance of students.
Applying effective, easy to learn, and variable teaching methods help students learn and enhance their academic performance and achievements significantly.
You ask the following: How does the teaching methodology effect the student performance?
I think it affects a lot.
1) While teaching, teachers may be authoritative figures, authoritarian figures, or permissive figures. Authoritative teachers are demanding in intellectual terms, but warm in terms of their social interaction with their students. Authoritarian teachers are demanding in intellectual terms, but cold in terms of their social interaction with their students. And permissive teachers are guided by the slogan "laissez faire, laissez passer, laissez aller" (Let'it go), There is accumulated evidence that shows that, in contrast to authoritarian or permissive teaching, authoritative teaching foster students' psychological development, be it cognitive, moral, social, interpersonal and emotional, and also an intrinsic motivation to learn.
2) While teaching, teachers can make use of the traditional and conservative methods or the active methods. In contrast to the traditional methods, in the active methods teachers are more mentors and organizers of learning experiences, such that their students understand, reinvent and reconstruct everything they learn, than simple transmitters of ready made and established truths imposed on students from outside. So, the active methods bring about students who are creators and innovators, and the traditional methods tend to generate conformist people.
The choice of teaching methodology is crucial in the teaching and learning process. The learner centred teaching methods will enhance the understanding of concepts which results in effective teaching and learning.
This is very ''heavy'' question. I mean that it's not easy to give any simple answer. Teaching methodology is interdisciplinary science that is grounded on pedagogy and psychology from one side, and science/art that is content of teaching/learning, from another side. Its' subject of study is everything connected with teaching/learning.
Consider researching either the Suzuki method or the Kodaly philosophy of music teaching. Both of these prefer experiential learning before abstract concepts can be made conscious.
Teaching methods adopted directly effect the students. I mostly go for blackboard teaching whereby, the students have a time to follow, understand, reciprocate and clarify. In the higher studies, one may go for power point presentations and small videos to demonstrate, how the equipment is working, thereby the students may easily follow.
The best thing is to see how the mission and philosophy of the University's program, which becomes your guiding objectives, can be served as your guide for the course that you're teaching. Ask yourself what is the right approach in supporting the mission and philosophy by deciding on an appropriate teaching methodology or design (storytelling, group activities, challenge session, peer assisting, blame versus gain, etc.,) to get your students to be effectively enlightened with the lessons planned. Ask the students if they are gaining a better understanding of the lesson being learned to seek out for adjustment or improvement in the methodology, thus answering your question on "How does the teaching methodology (in the course/lesson of...) have an effect on the students' performance?"
*Sometimes just lecturing with 55 PowerPoint slides can be boring for the students; based on my studies😁
@Pisapaty: It was my pleasure in making a contribution, thank you for raising an interesting inquiry for our fellow colleagues to share their viewpoints😁
The teaching methods surely effects students performamce. The more the interaction with the students, the more the student progress be there. One may adopt black board teaching, where the students find time to read, understand and write, short questions may be asked in between, tests may be conducted, apart from regular and power point presentations may be displayed so that the students may learn better.
