A teacher is after mother and father. Teacher teaches us education, tells us how to behave and gives a way to move along with society. How do you respect a teacher?
Most teachers enter the teaching profession for the love of empowering the youth and making a contribution to society. This is why I became a lecturer. A teacher should be respected as a facilitator of knowledge. The simplest form of respect is to kindly greet the teacher. Also pay attention by listening and following teachers instructions. Raise your hand to ask something instead of just shouting. In short by showing common courtesy and following good manners, students show respect to their teachers.
Paul: I learned a long time ago that respect is earned. A teacher earns respect through their actions and words. A teacher must be prepared at all times. A teacher must respect the students. A teacher must sincerely want to help students learn.
My students show me respect in their end-of-course written evaluations. Some students give me small gifts at the end of a course like coffee mug, coffee beans, or a gift card.

I respect my teacher by following the good words and remembering teaching and does not ignore the faith and responsibility put on me to become a good and successful individual.
By following the rules of the classroom, by being polite to the teacher and fellow students, by being punctual, by submitting the homework on time, by asking appropriate questions during class period, etc
Respect is a relationship between two people. It only works if it’s mutual. Respect is about learning what those needs are and meeting them as much as possible. Respect cannot be forced or demanded.
As a student, it is of great importance that one should respect a teacher. Regardless of the condition and status of the teacher, we need to respect them just like other professions in the world. But how?
By quitely listening to the discussion,
By passing the required assignments, projects and papers,
By coming to class early,
By greeting him/her when you meet each other,
By asking a sincere a question regarding a class topic or discussion,
By answering his/her question honestly and wholeheartedly,
By doing your best in your exam,
And I guess there's a lot more..
I think I was not that good in respecting my teachers.
In a teacher–student relationship, mutual respect is inevitable. Students respect teachers for their teaching skills, personal qualities, knowledge, and professionalism; and in turn, teachers must respect students as individuals and their sincere attempts to learn. The motive for participation and recognition is evident among students. Acceptance and approval are strong personal needs in most people. Many students tend to respond to a caring teacher who conveys interest in them, who listen carefully to them, and who respect them as individuals.
Supporting him or her through fulfilling your responsibilities or even go beyond what s/he is expecting from you.
Living out his / her legacy - e.g. if your teacher liked to share knowledge / experience with you, you should do the same for your students / others.
Attending his / her needs - teacher is also a human being that can grow old / die i.e. we should also concern over & attending to his /her / family needs as an act of respect.
Paul: To fully discuss this topic, we should also talk about disrespect. Some students actually show disrespect toward a teacher. Although I should say this is rare, but it does happen. My experience is students who show disrespect toward a teacher have a failing grade and are poor students. Then, they blame the instructor for their failure.
What is your experience with disrespect toward a teacher? Have you seen it or not?
in business, one earns from honest and sincere deals...
in education, a teacher earns honest and sincere respect from students because of an honest and sincere relationships with students which the teacher invested first ... and later, gets the 'interest' deserved from students.

Though some students may feel that certain teachers are “out to get them,” that is not really the case. Sometimes our own behavior plays a key role in how people treat us, and if we ourselves are not showing the proper respect, how can we expect it from our teachers? Teachers provide us with lifelong lessons that are valuable to our futures, and deserve the utmost respect from their students. By following some of these suggestions, students will be able to see if they are treating their teachers with respect.
Many teachers enriched our lives, inspired us and even more than an example. They gave and do not wait to take anything. They want us to be better than them, to develop society for the better, We must be the best successor to the good of the predecessor.
But what more will matter to a teacher will be how to deal with their future college students in the community, who definitely expects to be honored with their students.
I believe that the teacher should respect the parent like us because we will be part of our understanding of our future in the community owing to his training.
Paul: Show up to class on time. Pay attention. Take good notes. Ask appropriate questions. Engage in class discussions. Make an appointment to talk to your teacher during their office hours.
Do not interrupt the teacher at any time. Do not talk to another student during class. Do not be tardy for class or leave class early. Do not use your cell phone or laptop during class. (You can use your laptop to take notes only.)
Teachers are not nly mentor of subjects, they are the real people who motivate and bring various things ,skills from every student ,they spread the knowledge to the students they are considered to be a third god!! Tq sir for thrle opportunity to share this feeling
A teacher is the person who can shape or break a person's career. Building our personality starts from our childhood when we go to school. It is here that our teachers shape and mould us to become responsible and useful to the society. Hence we owe it to our teachers for what we are today. Always respect, learn and look up to them to climb the ladder of success in life
When one is of age to learn, the best way to show respect to the teacher is to value his dedication and his daily work with us, that is, to be attentive to his explanations, to perform the tasks he entrusts to us ... When we have completed our educational period, showing gratitude, promoting social recognition for their work and instilling in our children the important role that teachers play in our lives.
In my opinion, respect is given to a teacher who takes the time in making the most difficult subject to learn and breaks it down to easy grasping basics, and seeks the strength of skills and abilities of each student to help their classmates learn with confidence. We respect that teacher by demonstrating that humbling manner towards the people who are close to us or in need of making progress.
