I am making an antimicrobial extract from fungal metabolite but the fungi are not known. So I don't know at what concentration I should subject them to but what I do know I will test them against E.coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans via disk diffusion method. Is there a specific concentration I should use or three different concentrations for the treatment (If this, why those concentrations?). Is there some articles to justify them since it is needed for our research. Thanks in advance.

I wonder what concentration are you using? Do you vaporize the liquid phase and get dry weight for experiment or using extracellular supernatant? Either way you might want to try a range of concentration. From this, you can have a set of data of antifungal activity by diffusion method.

HI, You need to test across a range of concentration.Eg 0.25µg/mL; 0.5 µg/mL; 1µg/mL; 2µg/mL; 4µg/mL; 8µg/mL....From that you can determine the appropriate concentration of this extract from fungal metabolite to use againts each microorganism or fungi.
