How do you create a N-terminus MBP and C-terminus 6xHis tag fusion protein?

Hello I need to create a construct that includes the following

Maltose binding protein----Protein------6xHis tag

I am not sure what the actual process for creating fusion proteins is and would greatly appreciate advice/papers to read on the subject.
