I would like to use the gas cylinder with mixture 50%H2-50%Ar in my lab. What safety procedures should I implement? How to get rid of large amounts of unused hydrogen?
Attached document may be helpful. Well ventilated laboratory shall be used to get rid of unused gas.
ARGON/HYDROGEN GAS MIXTURE
MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET
Prepared to U.S. OSHA, CMA, ANSI and Canadian WHMIS Standards
Also, consider blubber in downstream to ensure gas doesn't leak.
Please flow Ar (inert gas) before flowing H2.
Of course I have one, but I don't know how to deal with unreacted hydrogen.
