Hi, I'm currently modeling a brick wall in Ansys. I'm modeling the bricks as discrete elements and replaced the mortar with non-linear spring elements (Combin39). There is a 2mm gap between each of the bricks. Now when I run the solver, the Solver Pivot error originates despite the fact that I have assigned fixed support at base of the wall and all node-to-node gaps have been connected using Combin39 or using Coupling command, as per the condition.
Now what could be the possible reason this error is showing up?

Hi Muhammad. i think the reason for this is having large motion, as i know from your question you are modeling the concrete between the bricks using a spring, it isnt right you must add stiffness for all 6 DOF between the bricks or use an elastic material for concrete. a better option is that you read the error paragraph in solver output.
