How do i extract DNA from fungi/algae contamination from PVA glue medium?

I would like to do sequencing on contamination of PVA glue. I'm not entirely certain if the contamination is of a fungal or algae nature. I also do not have access to media plates or broth for culturing.

is it possible to do a DNA extraction without the use of culturing techniques?
