Hi. you can calculated the amount of acetic acid that needed for reduce the pH on the one liter of your cultural solution and then you can adapt this to the whole system.
It depends on the volume and composition of your hydro-culture solution. Best way is to prepare 1.0M acetic acid solution which has a pH value of about 2.4. Put your hydroculture solution on a shaking platform and go on adding acetic acid solution to it with periodical pH checking until you achieve your desired pH. Remember to maintain your shaking speed between 70 and 100 rpm during the process.
Simple, you take a definite amount of volume (say one liter) from hydroponics system and add amount of acetic acid when PH turn 7 to 6 then stopped dosing. the care must be taken stirred the solution and measure the amount of acetic acid for one liter, now multiplied by total amount , you can calculate the acetic acid amount.
I'm using urea ferilizer in foliar application. can I use acetic acid to reduce ph to improve leaf absorption without any side effect on plant growth and yield?
@ Majid, to my experience if you use 1.0M acetic acid to reduce the pH in your hydroculture solution then it has no side effect on plant growth and yield.
