How difficult is Lysosensor to use in a basic cell culture wet lab? Does anybody happen to have any advice and/or experience with this or similar probes?
Lysosensor or Lysotracker (similar probes with different spectral ranges) are quite straightforward to use. They are usually added to media and are taken up by the cells. You may need to optimize the concentration for your cells to achieve a good signal/noise ratio.
Madhuja Samaddar thank you! Is it hard to set parameters for these on microplate readers? Have you ever had any practical issues using this in the lab?
Alexis Gkantiragas I have never tried microplate readers; only confocal microscopy. I believe it shouldn't really matter but amount of stain and sample preparation can make a difference.
