I am interested in setting up a system for getting a target DNA covalently bound to a specific probe for that target. Do anybody has an idea of a system that would allow me to do that?

you need to be more specific about the probe and the region. Do you alrady have organic functions set up, or do you need to put them first? triazole thru click chemistry has been successful. But again, you need to be more specific

Thanks for your answer. I'm sorry but, as you say, I did not make myself clear. I did not meant that I was looking to set up a system to synthesize probes that I could covalently bind to DNA. What I am interested is in knowing which modifications could be included in a probe that I would order that would be more suitable for my purpose, covalently binding the probe to its target DNA.
