How could I avoid galactomanan (gum) contamination during protein extraction?

I am using seed flour as starting material and Tris buffer for extraction.

In a simple extraction, it will be next to impossible to separate water soluble proteins (at whatever pH you have chosen - I assume ~7.4-8.4) and galactomannans, However, if you know the nature of protein(s) that interest you, it would be possible to devise a separation method (such as ion-exchange chromatography).
