we are working on determination of MIC of different antibiotics as well as the synergistic effect of theses antibiotics through checkerboard method. while doing the experiment face problems in result noting. would any one help us to solve the issue. your cooperation will be acknowledged.
Shabeer, have you run into a specific problem or are you just unclear about how to interpret the results? As FICI values decrease, it indicates a stronger synergisms between two antibiotics. In this Research article we have given detailed method.
You just have to note down the MIC of antibiotic alone i.e. First lane (should be exactly same in every set and constant)
From second to eighth lane there should be value below MIC (of antibiotic) if synergistic otherwise its only MIC of antibiotic.
