Dear researchers,

There are a lot of different materials and methods that we can use to make a superhydrophobic flat sheet PVDF membrane. However, there are some problems to bring them into the membrane manufacturing industry, such as:

1. We only have to use available commercial materials because synthesizing new materials and PVDF modification are not repeatable,

2. The use of nanoparticles always involves the problem of agglomeration,

3. Graphene and graphene oxide are totally expensive,

4. Membrane surface modification methods including plasma treatment, UV grafting, organic reaction, chemical vapor deposition, or polymeric grafting are not scalable.

5. .... (Please add some of other problems to this list)

Accordingly, what are your suggestions for materials and methods we can use to fabricate a superhydrophobic membrane?

Thank you so much.

Best regards
