Design Expert does not support creating a Pareto Chart in Response Surface Methodology (RSM). This is because RSM concentrates on significant effects that have already been assessed. Additionally, as the number of factors increases, the combinations grow exponentially, causing more aliased terms. This complexity probably influenced the decision to exclude the Pareto Chart option in Central Composite Design (CCD).
You can calculate the effects for all factors and interactions. Then, sort them in descending order based on their values. Next, calculate the cumulative percentage of these effects. Finally, plot the cumulative percentage against the factors.
Alternatively, you can calculate the effects for all factors and then determine the t-values by dividing each effect by its standard error. Sort these t-values in descending order and plot a Pareto chart.
