for a RC beam with CDP material model is it possible to have shear failure by doing away with the shear reinforcement, it didn't work out for me.
OR we have to change the material model for shear?
I have not seen the material properties of concrete in order to have shear crack. The shear crack should be created based on the reinforcement arrangement and loading type.

Modeling the initiation and propagation criteria of cracks in the old methods requires the design of a grid of elements with the possibility of cracking growth.
