How can one prove the presence of orbital ordering apart from using RIXS?

Is it possible to use the detailed structural information obtained from synchrotron diffraction fitting to ascertain the presence of Orbital ordering?

There have been many reports on orbital ordering in perovskites (G and C type) without any experimental evidence for the same. Is there a way to find that out?

Artur Braun Thanks a lot for the information Artur. I have some high resolution synchrotron data and since I have a structural transition, it becomes difficult to comment on the presence of orbital ordering, let alone what type of orbital ordering. Could you share some light on the same?
